We were lucky to chat with Valentine Mansy and Eve Stors. Valentine is a young Luxembourg-based filmmaker and Eve stars in her film. They stopped by to chat about the independent short film called R.I.P B.F.F. Valentine funded the whole production through cookie sales at her university and built a team that is nearly 80 percent women. In two weeks, they are holding a screening here in Luxembourg which we will fill you in on all the details as soon as we receive them!The film follows two teenage best friends, July and Penelope, who have spent years planning a trip to Amsterdam. One morning on a bridge, everything left unsaid between them rises to the surface, and the trip falls apart along with their friendship. Saturday, June 20th from 10am to 2pmJustine Howarth and Ornella Ulrich stopped by the studio to chat about the food drive they are organizing which takes place this Saturday in conjunction with Banque Alimentaire Luxembourg. Look out for the McDonalds in Strassen as the drop off location is their church: 166 route d'Arlon in Strassen which is right next door!Justine and Ornella are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints whose mission is to participate and organize service and humanitarian efforts here in Luxembourg and also worldwide. Their goal is simple: to help families in need across Luxembourg. Anyone can drop off non-perishable food items such as: Pasta, Rice Canned Vegetables and fruit, Canned Fish or Meats, Canned Soup, Jams, Biscuits, Cereals, UHT mik, Baby food but please no fresh products.Donations collected during this food drive will be provided to Banque Alimentaire Luxembourg and they will distribute to those in need.
