Voluntary groups and organisations from Kilkenny city and county were recognised at the Parade Tower in Kilkenny Castle last night (April 30th) where the local authority held its Community Awards night. Cathaoirleach Mary Hilda Cavanagh led to the tributes to the county's IPB Pride of Place nominees and leading Tidy Towns entrants, and said their efforts illustrated the strength and sense of community throughout Kilkenny.
