Over 500 plants and 40 varieties will be available at Rothe House's annual garden plant sale, which takes place tomorrow, Saturday (June 6th) from 11am through to 4pm. Visitors will have free access to the garden from New Building Lane, where those with green fingers are set to be spoiled for choice. Mary Ann Vaughan, the Visitor Experience Supervisor at Rothe House is looking forward to a lively morning in the restored Medieval garden.

KCLR News: Thoughts on the Leaving Cert at Abbey Community College (3rd June 2026)
The Junior and Leaving Certificate Exams are well underway, with over 147,000 candidates sitting the papers throughout the State. Abbey Community College in Ferrybank draws in students from across South Kilkenny (Ferrybank, Mooncoin, Kilmacow, Glenmore, Mullinavat) and Waterford City and has 350 students sitting the exams in over 40 centres between now and June 23rd. KCLR News' Dermot Keyes spoke to students following the completion of English Paper 1 and also asked Abbey Community College English teacher Mark Power for his thoughts as the exam season got underway.
